Family collaboration is a vital foundation for high-quality early childhood education. This training explores how strong, trusting partnerships between educators and families can support children’s well-being, learning, and sense of belonging. Participants will gain an understanding of the cornerstones of  family collaboration and learn practical strategies for building meaningful connections with families from diverse backgrounds. 

Objectives of the training

  • Strengthen participants’ understanding of the cornerstones of family collaboration, including trust, respect, and open communication 
  • Provide practical methods for building strong, positive partnerships with families from diverse backgrounds 
  • Build skills for identifying and addressing potential challenges in family collaboration, such as differing expectations, cultural differences, or communication barriers
